Hi everyone,
I am really looking for some recommendations for single player linear FPS games for PC.
I really dislike a game where you go out to "find work" or look for quests that deviate away from the story.
Games I love:
Half Life Series
Portal Series
Call of duty series
Battlefield series
Serious Sam Series
Crysis Series
Doom
Games I Enjoy:
Command and Conquer series
DmC Devil May Cry
F.E.A.R. Series
Left 4 Dead Series
South Park: Stick of Truth
Dead Space Series
Games I found ok:
Warhammer 40k Series
Metro 2033 & Last Light
Lego Games
GTA V
Bioshock Series
Games i really dislikes:
Elder Scrolls Series
Fallout 4
Dues Ex
any FPS RPG type game
You can view my steam library here
My origin library is below, click image for a larger picture
So if I have missed a classic or new FPS good for single player would be fantastic.
Many Thanks

I was never a halo fan, I owned halo 1 and got bored very quickly, the weapons just seemed too over powered.«DN»Lasky® wrote:Halo not in that list...
Incidentally not sure if you are aware but Halo 5: Forge bundle is free from the microsoft store: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p ... blggh4v0fr

Maybe give Resident Evil (RE) a shot. Start with 4 or 5 since that will give you the best experience. I'm hesitant to recommend RE 0, 1, 2, 3, or Code Veronica since they have fixed camera angles but are by far the scarier games and are all but RE 2 are much harder than the following games.
RE 5, 6, Revelation 1 and 2, and Operation Raccoon City play like L4D meets Dead Space. RE 4 you have to play by yourself. If you find that you like the series, all of the games are on Steam except RE 2, 3, and Code Veronica but those should be on Steam eventually when an HD Remastered edition comes out for all of them.
Avoid Umbrella Corps and Operation Raccoon City. Umbrella Corps is multiplayer only and is kind of a dead game. Also they made some poor decisions (negative mouse acceleration). Operation Raccoon City can be fun if you have friends. Without friends its not too much fun. There is a reason I don't own either Umbrella Corps or Operation Raccoon City.
