Earlier on today all the servers were working fine, now I am not getting any servers on refresh. It says COD4 connects to the master server, but nothing else after that. I also cant connect to servers within my favorites, only the I.P address appears instead of all the names.
I have checked my firewall and settings to make sure they're all correct.
Any help? Is it just me or is this happening for others too?
COD4 Servers down?

MALWARE?
Did a system restore and managed to fix the problem, even though it wasnt my intention for the restore.
I was also wondering if anyone could help me with my current Anti-Virus protection?
Ever since my Anti-virus software (AVG 2013) completed a recent update it has been showing all my protection components as inactive, and all of their statuses individually as 'Unknown'.
I have tried to update, uninstall and force uninstall using the official software, however each time all of them have resulted in a fail for various reasons such as "No connection", which cant be the problem as I have a stable internet connection.
I have also tried installing a previous update manually, but with no success.
Ever since my AVG has shown its components as being inactive, I have noticed my PC has slower start ups, and applications crash. Also, I'm not sure if this is connected to the problem, but my online games are beginning to lose connection to servers? It started with Terraria where I couldnt connect to any server, and then seemed to move onto my COD 4.
I think this may be some nasty Malware, so I have completed multiple scans with different software, apart from AVG which is refusing to scan, or do anything. The different software I am using to scan are:
- Spyware Search & Destroy
- Malware Bytes
- SUPERantiSpyware
These scans have seemed to pick up a few bits of malware, but none of them seem to be related to the problem.
I think I have may of picked up my malware from a torrent? I'm not sure which exactly. Kids, this is why you pay for your games now.
Back to the system restore, which I completed today. I tried to restore to see if the malware has a chance of being erased in the restore, but no luck. My AVG still appears to be "inactive". I have checked multiple other forms for this problem including the AVG ones, all of them just refer to re-installation of AVG, which I can't do!
Does anyone have any idea of what the problem is? Or can recommend some software that will do the job? Is it just me being paranoid or is this actually a very nasty piece of malware?
OS: Windows 8.1 (64bit)
All replies are appreciated, as always.
