Everytime I try to install it the downloader fails.

What OS are you using? Looks like a Windows variant to me but I'm not sure...

Looks like Windows Vista to me.

Install that as the standalone and then retry. If that fails then make sure you have the latest updates for your operating system and retry the standalone .NET installer again.

I have tried installing this thing some months ago. It always fail. Same thing the downloader crashes, and yes I'm running windows vista.

I have updated everything on my pc. I always check for updates, so yeah. I'm lost yet again.

Try to install it again. If it fails then take a screenshot of the error (preferably with the error code in it). Can't fix it if I don't know whats wrong with it

You also might want to screenshot your System control panel, I want to verify that you have installed the Vista service packs and that nothing is unusual (like an windows activation error... you are genuine, right?).

The next step is to determine why .net isn't installing. The .net stuff is a rather vital part of the Windows operating system and it failing to install is usually a symptom of a larger problem. Many things, including Evolve, will not install if .net is broken.

Does the .net installer give an error code on the failure screen (the last screen you are shown before closing the installer)? If so, screenshot that please. If not, let us know and we can tell you how to pull out more info about the failure (hopefully).
