Problem with Halo

I have run Halo on windows for almost a year now with no problems at all, but for the past several days every time I try to start halo it closes right away and I get the ‘gathering exception data’ popup. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and running it in safe mode, but I still cant play the game. I haven’t downloaded any mods or gotten any new hardware for my computer for quite a while so I don’t think that’s the problem.

In the ‘Error Report Contents’ these three files are the ones that turn up:

c:\docume~1\new\locals~1\temp\dxdiag.txt
c:\program files\microsoft games\halo\debug.txt
c:\program files\microsoft games\halo\network.log

Any help with this is much appreciated!

and dont you need something to make it so you can continue to play on the 1.10 servs since gamespy pz'd

Unfortunately the previous owner of this computer, never gave me the passwords for the administrator. :/
I left out the 1.10 update since I had no problems with it since it came out a while back.

Try downloadin the 1.10 Halo update, if ya haven't done so....

I redownloaded the 1.10 update and the problem still remains. :c

You could do a system restore to when the game was working if you have a restore point back when it was working. Its weird that this issue recently showed up. Try disabling background programs that aren't necessary before attempting to launch the game, computers are fickle things and maybe this might help.
