Mouse Nonresponse

Recently, the mouse I had used for quite some time broke, and I needed to find a replacement. The only substitute mouse I could find without buying a new one was an old, wired mouse. But especially when I play Team Fortress 2, I find that the mouse is almost completely unresponsive if I move it quickly. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue without buying a new mouse?

It has a laser, and its Dell Part Number (DP/N) is 0CJ339.

Unplug it, and plug it back in, also try a different USB port.
